Hello everyone I'm back from my trip, it was very fun (thanks for your wishes ). And I have tons of photos and some sketches
I painted this one to check my watercolour skills after the break (I hope they are fine, haha). There are also a lot of different works to add some final touches and process waiting for me, poke me not to be lazy and post them all soon ~~
Watercolour, pencils, white pen on Canson Montval paper. European Magpie (Eurasian Magpie or Common Magpie - Pica pica
The use of cool-tone colors in this piece is excellent. They are well-balanced, between the greens of the leaves and distant pine trees, the water-blotched colors of the sunset with just enough touch of pink, and the iridescent blues of the magpie. The dark brown of the branch and the black on the magpie stand out against all the cool colors. This piece has a whimsical feel to it, especially with the bird, and the added detail with white lines on the head and belly make him pop out a little more.
One thing I would like to point out is the use of the watermark. It seems like it would be better positioned in a corner of the picture instead of in the middle, as it might distract from the picture itself. If the colors in the corners match too closely with the watermark, try changing it to a different color if possible so the mark is still visible.
Overall, though, this is a great piece with an appealing style.
¡Fantástico trabajo! Lo hemos destacado dentro de la carpeta "Featured nº 3 o Destacados nº 3" en Special-Groups. (Es la carpeta donde se exhiben los mejores trabajos del grupo).
Fantastic work! Featured in Special-Groups in folder Featured nº 3. (Best works of the group).
This is beautiful! I love your use of color for the leaves and the sky, as well as the bird itself; very nice! I do think that the watermark is a bit distracting, but I can see why you put it where you did instead of in the corner. But very good work!
